I was invited to get a show together for the festive season in the Seychelles this past December.I asked Brendan Jury of Urban Creep fame to join me and soon we had something great cooking..Gideon Meintjes ,Jorik Pienaar and Jako Loots joined me on percussion and the sound was just steering into a new awesome direction.
We arrived in the Seychelles on the 26th of December and our first show was to be on the 30th.So what do we play and where do we start ?? Naplama arrived a day later and in the evenings things just started to happen with great jams and beautiful music moments ,all to a point when Guy Buttery pitched up with his sitar..then things got out of hand..These sessions lasted for hours and the level of musicianship climbing to heights of bliss.Tammy ,a girl from Brazil also joined in and the songs rang out into the damp air of a perfect evening..
With these moments in mind we were off to our first gig on the beach the day of the 30th with no idea what to expect from our crowd..We started with a mellow set while everybody was eating and relaxing in the shade of palm trees ,sipping away on cocktails. We had them in the palm of our hands and went back for a second set where we pushed the tempo slightly and once again they all were there ,listening with admiration..So we were called back for a third set and we let loose with the crowd dancing and clapping and singing with us..Now these are people from all over the world and the came together as one..What a gig..and want to say thanx to the bar for keeping us going with all the beer .Big up guys!!
So then back to the jams at night and if I would be so lucky as to get all of those musicians in the same area again ,please let there be a way to record?
We were asked back for a second show on the first and the same thing happened ..We were the first band to get the people dancing on the 1st of Jan after they had the new years party that most of us would die for ..
once again I must thank the bar staff for the Tequila and Sprite…It really helped allot and a special thanks to Coenraad and his whole crew, uncle Lloyd ,the sound guys and the friends we got to know there for an unforgettable week and great music!!
let love and music flow from moments like these and my lifes be changed forever!!!

So I have decided to involve you,the Scicoustic supporter in naming our new album.I am going to pick the title and around that, write the content. We want to start working on the album early next year so send us your ideas as soon as possible. What I am thinking is a negative / positive title so that I can address controversy in and around our immediate daily ways..
Here is an example: Purely negative
Lets see where this takes us and I hope we are going to have allot of fun with this project.I will document the whole writing process on the site..
Music to the masses

One of Scicoustic’s great fans Mario K made a video of his gaming experience while playing Assassins Creed. He used a recorded file of the game and edited a video on his game and added Assassin to it as sound track..Enjoy

In June 2008 Scicoustic was approached to play an event in Nairobi Kenya at the Rock the Races. This event was created to promote horse racing as well as rock concerts in Kenya and was to be held at the Ngong race track just outside Nairobi. A day filled with glamour, horses and races, to be ended off on a high note: A rock show of note.
So there we were, off to Kenya!!
